A full day exploring Hanoi with morning visits to: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his former residence, house-on-stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature. Afternoon visit: Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Ngoc Son Temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter of Hanoi. Evening is at leisure. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
Morning: Depart Hanoi for Ninh Binh province. Visit to Hoa Lu ancient capital. Afternoon: take 2-hour sampan boat row along a little river at Tam Coc (Three Caves). Later, pay a visit to the Ngu Nhac Mountain with Bich Dong Pagoda. Drive back Hanoi and evening is at your leisure. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
09h30: Depart from hotel for Halong bay. Drive 2.5 hours to the bay. 12h00: Arriving at the pier at noon, use a tender to get to the main vessel. Checked into cabin and have some free time to relax. Lunch on board. Around 3 pm: Arrive at our kayaking place. About 4:00 pm: Return to the main boat. Cooking demo for those interested. Dinner on board.
06:00: Early morning Tai Chi. 07:00: Light breakfast will be served this morning. 08:00: Row the sampan into Sang Toi Cave (01 hr.) Around 9:30, experience the pleasure of cruising through the bay. 10:30: Brunch will be served on board. Arriving at the pier around 11:30. Transfer, 30 minutes to the airport in Hai Phong for flight from Hai Phong to Danang – gateway to Hoi An. When arriving Danang airport, get transfer (40 minutes) to Hoi An. Check in to your hotel and relax! Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.
Morning: Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An ancient town. Cycle through Hoi An’s rice paddies and vegetable farms. Cook some of the famous local dishes. We’ll continue our active day of adventuring by hopping in round Basket boat and moving through the river communities & water coconut forest. Drive back to your hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.
08.00AM: Drive out to visit the My Son Holy land, a World heritage sites 40km west of Hoi An. Return to Hoi an town in the late morning. Afternoon is yours to go to Hoi An beach – 5 kms from town. Or you can spend your afternoon for own shopping (FYI: Hoi an is the best place in Vietnam for shopping and tailor made). Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.
08.00AM: Check out hotel, get transferred (3 hrs.) thru rural land, mountain landscapes with stop on Hai Van Pass and optional visit to Cham Museum and Marble Mountain in Da Nang. Check in hotel upon arrival. Afternoon visit: Hue’s Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City. End our day with a visit to the Dong Ba Market. Overnight in hotel in Hue.
An exciting day tour on motorbike ride to discover Hue countryside and royal monuments. (You can also choose to car drive or bicycle ride instead) Visit a local market, the centuries-old covered bridge of Thanh Toan then ride passing hidden alley and villages, visit traditional handicrafts. Later, spend time for discovery of one of Emperor Mausoleums, and Thien Mu Pagoda. Remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in hotel in Hue.
Today we say “hẹn gặp lại” to Hue as we get on a plane again and take a short flight (1.5 hrs.) to Ho Chi Minh City. Afternoon visit: Reunification Hall, War Remnants Museum, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly called Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House & Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Morning: Leave Saigon for a 2-hour drive through scenic country land to Ben Tre. On arrival in Ham Luong pier in Ben Tre, board a wooden boat for our leisure cruise on Ben Tre River, explore lively activities along river. Stop at a pottery and brick-making factory and observe locals work in traditional style by printing and baking. Following, visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops and take a walk to visit family workshop making sleeping mats and enjoying some fruits and tea. Continue with an exciting ride on motor cart (or bicycle). Later, take little sampan rowing along meandering canal to Ham Luong pier then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Evening is at your leisure. Overnight in hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Today you will be free at leisure until being transferred to the airport for your flight off. End of services.
