Description: Dominican Tastes is an exciting cultural excursion to get to know the exciting life of the Dominican people and to taste their famous rum, cigars and their delicious cacao, as well as to know the emblematic city of the Artists, Altos de Chavon. We will visit Tabacalera La Matilde, the largest handmade cigar boutique in Latin America and museum, to learn about the process and elaboration of the famous Dominican tobacco and how the best cigars in the world are born. The next stop is Altos de Chavon, a romantic old Mediterranean-style city, home to a Cultural Center and the National Archaeological Museum. In Altos de Chavon we will visit the Chocolate Museum and discover many secrets of how cocoa is used, visit the Church of San Estanislao and a spectacular view of the Chavon River. We will continue towards the historical center of the city of San Pedro de Macoris to visit the famous factory of Ron Barcelo, founded in 1930 and is currently one of the most prestigious brands in the country. A tasting of Ron Barcelo′s product line accompanied by a small snack will be the perfect end to this pleasant experience.
